IMAGES

2011.

I spend some of my day reading and some sorting images.  Or trying to find images.

I really like this picture though it is out of focus.  What a wonderful reuse of an old cigarette machine.  Drop in your quarter, and instead of dying from tobacco smoke you live better through art.

Yes, I didn’t accomplish one thing yesterday.  I had great ideas, but they just sat there gathering dust.  Today I am going to my old store and drop off another giant load of books.  Then, after I dust off those books and groceries, I am going to my local grocery store where prices are higher but there is no picket line.

What are you doing today?

  • Myself:  Bought a pair of old Born sandals online yesterday.

  • Reading:  Book 2 in the Amish mystery series.
  • Gratitude’s:  For everything but my laziness.

  1. I'm catching up with friends today. I haven't written on my blog for awhile and there are several people I need to call. Who is on strike where you are?

  2. Every time I see one of those art machines I buy something. If I recall correctly there's one at the MOCA Geffin Pavilion and there's one at the Last Bookstore, both in Downtown Los Angeles.

  4. Sorting is such a big and wearying day, and does appear to be "nothing" at the end except new stacks of old stuff. But it must be done; don't apologize.

  5. Necessity may be the mother of invention but laziness is the father. That is how we keep finding easier ways to do something or in the case of the cigarette machine, a new use. Enjoy those lazy times and who knows?

  7. What a cool idea to convert these machines so you can get a little piece of art. I love that.
