A Few Observations

Those delightful colorful flowers from the last AA convention.

The sun is out.  The staff here really tries and is very friendly.   I am able to look out my sliders and enjoy a possum, a family of crows, a scattering of grackles, several skunks…one is very unafraid, and hundreds of other small critters like field mice.  The social worker here feeds them.

Inside the sliders there’s busy world of seniors and me.  Though I cannot easily move the upper part of my leg, all  the rest of me feels really young and vital.  The lady  in the bed next to me groans.  Down the hall, one man lectures eruditely to himself.  My ears are filled with the staff conversations…a constant background buzz.  Petty stuff keeps me stirred up…like the doctor here over riding my doc’s orders and prescribing meds from their own pharmacy.

Then again, I see lots of love here.  The love keeps me smiling.  Husbands walking wives.  Patting them.  Talking gently.  I share Ronnie Bennett’s blog with the social worker and the Nurse Practitioner.  They are really interested, but too busy to take the time to understand.  Lots of love.  Just busy love.

  8. Kudos on your ability to see and acknowledge good amidst the frustration, irritating, painful and bad. We are back from mountain camping. I am not back to blogging yet, but you have been in my thoughts even when I was without Internet and couldn't check on how you were faring.
