Singing Errands

Isn’t there a song in here….”Errands, I’ve run Errands.”

And without being too much of a grouch, I got a lot done.  Photos and an album posted for “Great Curves.”  Boy, the Facebook Album program was truly recalcitrant yesterday.  Nowhere could I find the word, “Post”  Hours later it appeared anyway.  I’ve been to the oculist who said she couldn’t alter the prescription.  New appointment made with the ophthalmologist.  I didn’t make shoulder PT because the therapist had the flu.  New appointment made.  I did actually make time to read all of you tho I didn’t note.  Mea Culpa.

The Library sent me an email telling me it was time to renew my card.  I walked up, and I can tell you that walking on land isn’t the same thing as walking in water…..Puff…  Why every two years, I asked.  This is a transient neighborhood , the librarian replied.  Statistics show what the eyes don’t.  She helped me find the McCaffrey final book which I am now happily reading.  I even read it during the commercials for “Project Runway.”

Meal planning:  Gramma’s chicken/tuna salad for dinner on this hot day.  Maybe half a muffin too.  We have all sorts of cold weather foods in the house, but I don’t think temperatures in the 80’s are condusive to baked squash.  Of such small things a day is made.

  • Himself:  Skipping the gym, work, meeting, and playing his game in odd moments.  The kitties person has returned and they aren’t speaking to her.  George went over, and they ran right up to him.  LOL
  • Herself:  New surgery date: October 23rd and too be at the hospital at 0830.  I can live with that.  Today: swim, sort, read, meeting.
  • Reading:  All the Weyrs of Pern.  Picked up a Chicago Manual of Style and that will tell me what to do with titles.
  • Balance:  An hour of quiet this afternoon.

    1. An English teacher friend was lamenting the demise of cursive writing...kids can't sign their. Names anymore! Also she has a problem with kids who put paraphrases in quotes. You would enjoy speaking with her given your trials.

Walking is good if you can do it. I am using a cane. Therapist told me to always use a cane when walking on the street.

I hope it cools off out there...soon. In the 60s here and I want to wear my new clothes out there.

Cats are funny. Don't like it when you go away.

    3. My grandkids school district is phasing out cursive. Now they are all homeschooled and their Mom is teaching it to them.

Chicken salad sounds yummy to me.

    4. My mind sang, "Letters, we get stacks and stacks of letters..."

Glad to hear you're doing okay. Every task completed is a victory.

    5. Hot weather changes what hubby and I enjoy eating plus what and how much we do. In our hot, humid weather, we limit errands to no more than one stop that requires exiting vehicle. We are supposed to have below 80 highs Wednesday! Wheeeee!
