Paris, France

For me, the Eiffel Tower embodies France in its out-of-time reach and magic.

We took one visit to Paris in 2001.  I remember the drama and the beauty of the city tho it wasn’t most pleasant of visits.  Today all that matters is that the ISIS horror should never have come to this most magic of cities and its people.

  1. You can see the artistic skill in your photos. It is not the camera it is the photographer. I am still learning and actually glad that I have a way to go! Heading out to my fundraiser and dreading the next 4 hours, but will be so happy when back home. I hope your activity day was mild and fulfilling.

  2. Thank you so much for your kind message on my blog, Mage. I'm working on some posts now that I'm almost recovered.

While we were in Illinois, our son-in-law took my daughter to Paris for a week's stay for her birthday. They were everywhere and saw everything. I looked at the map showing where the horrors took place and it makes me shudder to think they could have been there.

Our hearts go out to the people of Paris and France. It's all so incredibly sad and horrifying.

  4. Owing to a migraine, I'm having trouble seeing this AM but I can see your photos. Lovely shots. I walked under the tower but never went up in it. I've traveled to and through Paris many times in the past. Spent many days in the Lourve, (you know me.). Walked and walked and walked. Ate and are and ate. The French love dogs. Dogs everywhere, including restaurants. A most civilized country! God love them. Will I visit again, who knows.? I've been away from home when something bad happens, and it's frightening. All I could think about Friday was the scared kids.

Please, take just a moment to leave me a note. I really appreciate notes.

MEMORIES

I had fun finding Christmas images from my long ago files.  Waking my old computer up to see what I saved.  Waking my memories up....
