“Go, go, go, said the bird: human kind cannot
bear very much reality.” ts elliot
It’s that time of year again. My reality is backed up here, and there, and
over there too. All life really lives on
a thumb drive. It used to live in archival
boxes and books, then floppy discs, Zip Discs, just discs, and now thumb drives. Shrinking reality is real.
Sometimes I’m afraid if I plug this year’s thumb drive
into my computer, there will be nothing these.
Empty. Gone. No more saved reality…or it has shrunk so
small that I can’t see it. The images
shrunk so small they aren’t usable…sometimes computers do this with older jpgs.
Perhaps, like us, digital reality doesn’t just diminish
with time it retreats into another dimension.
I wish you all a wonderful new year in what ever dimension you keep your reality….you bet your sweet
bippy.
- Himself: His very long stretch of overtime ends on the first. Oh hurrah. At the moment he is still working 9 to 9. Today quitting at 5. All these hours really matter, he is really pleased with his new paycheck.
Yes, another dimension, the cloud. That's where my photos now reside.

ReplyDeleteI go through the days and suddenly find that I've missed reading your blog -- missed writing in my own. I look back to see what was so important and I find nothing but day after day after day of moving through the days. I think I've been floating with the current in this river of life. Thankful that you are still here as I resurface...
