2018 Bobbie.
·
I awoke this morning thinking I was going to live.
·
I read Ronni’s blog and realize her last chemo didn’t
work. I get a message from Pam, who we
don’t see enough of now, that they are going to have a party for Poolie’s
birthday. We are going to miss it
because of another useless business meeting.
I’d far, far rather be at Poolie’s party.
·
George has almost finished
that scroll box for Bobbie. Weeks and
weeks of innovative work. He loves doing
this stuff. I urge him to go back to woodworking
school now that he’s 65. He keeps on
working with numbers so he can collect his full Social Security.
·
It really is 34 degrees
out there. Not quite freezing, but you
wouldn’t have known it this morning. The
heater wouldn’t run. Lowest possible bidder
got the job here, but G ran up and down stairs, and up and outside, while switching
things on and off until it finally kicked in.
After a while, 62 degrees seems nice and warm.

- Himself: His day is going well, but I feel so sorry for him when trainees can’t seem to learn how to do things.
- Myself: Coughing less at last. I can’t tell you how grateful I am.
- Photo: Me: 2018.
- Reading: Brandsetter 10. I really care for these fictional characters.
- Gratitude’s: Feeling slightly better at last. That I have time to play with some older photos.
Sunshine tax is way too high for it to be only 34 degrees outside. BURRRRR
ReplyDeleteWorking while not happy, just to get full SS benefits, is crazy. Live the life you want while you can.
ReplyDeleteI agree, but he doesn't.
DeleteI've read somewhere that no matter how you work the figures, you will never gain enough to make up for not taking Social Security as soon as you're eligible. Tell him I said GO! Do it now -- you'll never regret it.
DeleteSo glad you are feeling better. Hope George reconsiders the SS. I took the early one at 62 and have not regretted one minute. No amount of money can justify time lost.
ReplyDeleteToo true! Believe that all will work out and surprisingly, it does!
DeleteGlad you are feeling better.
ReplyDeleteMe too.
DeleteTo feel better is good. I also read Ronni’s blog and am awaiting news on her final check-up. I feel bad that I should feel miserable when I don’t have to go through what she is going through. My husband of 51 years passed away 3 months ago and last week-end would have been his birthday. I am trying to visit all the blogs I used to read, it helps a bit, but not totally. Life is hard sometimes.
ReplyDeleteI am so very sorry.
DeleteSo glad the cure is kicking in.
ReplyDeleteYou got it. :)
DeleteGlad you are beginning to feel better!
ReplyDeleteYou are colder than we are here...except today it will go down into freezing again. Relieved to read that you are on the mend. Maybe some warm sunshine will be on its way to match your better health!!! I dread going grocery shopping thinking I will get cold germs. I am such an old lady!
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you're 'on the mend'.
