GREY

The sky is a varied grey.  The trunks and branches of the trees surrounding us are much the same color.  The news stations show us that a rain storm is heading our way.  They don’t’ give us any more detail as their doppler’s cover us with the rain of green.

Marta is here today, and we all are hiding.  First we pick up and tidy for our housekeeper, then we do our best to keep out of her way.  We shut the doors, and watch the wind whipping the leaves and branches around ahead of the oncoming storm.  The windows are easily covered with little hashtags of rain.

  4. Trees are like old friends and guards...if they stand tall and do not fall on the house.

  6. "First we pick up and tidy for our housekeeper ..."

When I read that, I skipped over the "for" and thought I read, "First we pick up and tidy our housekeeper ..."

I had to re-read because it just didn't compute for some reason. lol
