THAT TIME OF YEAR

It’s that time of year again.  First we have a food holiday, then we have a decorate holiday, then give a present, and lastly a food holiday again.  For those of us who can’t eat a lot of different foods, these holidays offer ruination.

When I was a kid, I ate everything and got really sick…every year, several times a year including Easter.  As I got older, I ate less of the goodies like turkey, gravy, and stuffing.  Now that I am old, if 76 is considered old now, I finally limit my holiday eating to those things that sit well.  Usually.

Don’t laugh.

I can eat pies, I can eat whipped cream.  I can have a naked slice of turkey, and a pile of buttered mashed potatoes.  Then Friday it’s back on the lower sugar and very low carb diet.  Boy, till then I’m going to have eating fun.

  • Himself:  Work today then he has a four day weekend.  Just delightful.
  • https://www.facebook.com/>Herself:>   I have to work today and Friday for a few hours.  Thanksgiving is a potluck at Poolies.  We got one of the pies yesterday and a half gallon of whipping cream.  That’s the smallest size Costco offered.
  • Reading:  Starting the new #24.
  • Captain Poolie:  Walked, did standups, and had a good workout.
  • Gratitude’s:  That Margot got a job with benefits just blocks from her house at UCP.

    1. Would you be okay with a vegan diet? I find that meat and dairy do a number on my innards.

      1. I can eat meat and dairy. Many veggies and most fruits give me hives. Boy, I won't tell you what whole grains do. LOL
