The top race car sandblasted into its glass is remarkably like the 1923 Essex Dirt Track Racer now in the National Automobile Museum in Reno, NV. Bare bones, it was a remarkable car for the times. (Link above.) The second glass panel illustrates an ocean liner, a steam ship, with a small tug awaiting its arrival. Since I was so shaky in my photography, we will never see the top of this panel, but perhaps it is the just the Queen Mary returning home to Southampton after a difficult Atlantic crossing
