The Last NoJoMo2010

It’s been a bit of a psychological weight this month to write every day for November Journal Month (NoJoMo). Now we are heading into a December where I won’t always be here to write. I’ll feel guilty….I always do when I don’t write, but a small pressure will be off. We will have the laptop with us, but this trip we won’t be counting on WiFi or paying a fortune for internet access.

Planning….I won’t post the dates on Facebook…why let every robber know we are gone for eight days. We do have neighbors and a daughter keeping an eye on the place. I won’t worry. I won’t wear the good jewls. No worry there either. The one thing I am going to change is my eating patterns. Less will be more on this HAL trip where the food is known to be excellent. That will lessen my worries about gaining so much weight this trip.

So it’s time to get out the bags. Bang them outside a bit too. Time to buy the bug bombs and get rid of the silverfish while we are gone. Until then, we will enjoy the holiday here wearing our warm things to ward off the 32 degree F weather before heading south into 80F heat of Mexico. Ah, dreams.

  2. It always perplexes me when people advertise on Facebook that they're going away! Good thinking, Maggie!

Can't wait to see the photos. Did I tell you that when we were entering the mouth of the Chesapeake Bay, a juvenile osprey came and sat on the rail beside me? It stayed there for about 10 minutes -- I was tickled! It was too dark to get a photo.

You and Geezer have a wonderful time.

  3. Yes, we have a lengthy winter trip planned, but some of the time I hope to be able to access Blogger. I also feel guilty when I don't write...but in reality who would actually feel any loss if my posts were gone for a while. YOu on the other hand will leave a space in my day!

  6. I've enjoyed your daily postings immensely but I do understand. Like you, I feel guilty if I don't post every day but I also know that sometimes it just can't be done.

Bon voyage and Buen viaje to you and G!

I'll look forward to your adventures when you return!!!

  7. You do a super job of posting regularly. You deserve a "time off" or at least a time when you post at your convenience and ease. Have a good holiday season. Write us all when you can, but don't feel bad about telling us all the good stories on your return.

  11. Yae Maggie! Have a terrific time. I worry about letting everyone know exactly when we're gone, too. I'm even considering just posting the travel photos after we return instead of during the trip.

  12. I'm amazed at how much you do every day much less posting a blog every day. I simply can't do it. Btw, did I understand you to say it's 32 degrees there? In San Diego? With a median temperature of about 72? Say it ain't so.
