We hadn’t been out to dinner in a while. I suggested the Great Geezer pick a place,
and we woke up at Tom Ham’s. It used to
be a steak house with oriental efforts.
Now it has been redone, restyled, and re-menued a bit beyond our budget.
Coming here gave us a wonderful break from the mundane. He had a cheese plate then a whole sea bass
with a great tapenade. I had a beet and
baby arugula salad with a hunk of grilled tuna followed by a scoop of pecan gelato. We eat simply at home and this was a real treat.
I’m having a baked potato tonight. What are you all eating for dinner tonight?

ReplyDeleteWow! That is a huge, scrumptious looking fish. I'm making chili and cornbread tonight. It's perfect for a cold, Midwestern night.
ReplyDeleteTherapy for me yesterday, and an Atkins meal last night. Sleeping on my right side now, but not for long. Also walking the dogs everyday. Got rid of the mystery (Donna Leon) and went back to history. I want G's fish. Making miso salmon tonight. Dianne
ReplyDeleteWow, a whole fish, that must have been a big take home box! I'm making a meatloaf for tonight, with ground beef instead of my usual ground turkey. Had a yen to make it like dear old Mom's.
ReplyDeletePracticing for Thanksgiving.
ReplyDeleteThai shrimp curry. Homemade.
ReplyDeleteThat fish is huge! Glad you had such a delightful break.
ReplyDeleteHubby's homemade pizza and salad at our house tonight.
That's a lot of fish! it looks delicious.
ReplyDeleteToday my main meal will be stir-fry chicken with rice (middle of day, not evening.)
Yesterday I paid off a large bill and so my main meal was a private celebration, with fillet steak.
Oh that looks yummy. I think I'm going to pick at leftover chicken tonight.
ReplyDeleteI made lasagne with ground turkey. That fish looked wonderful!
ReplyDeleteThat is one huge fish and I have been working so hard on cutting down in my eating that I actually could not have eaten more than a third of that baby along with side dishes!! We came back from visiting grandkids for Halloween, shopping at the mall, taking in a movie and getting home at 6:30...so it was a frozen pizza dinner.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous view-next time I want to splurge, I'll head there.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your kind notes.
