There we were, right in the middle of Captain Poolies very
successful muscle Car show reception, and I wander away. You could find me at the far side of the
museum longing for the little Datsun sports car. I drove one of those for 12 years, and it was
my baby. As it got older, I got poorer
and couldn’t do proper repairs on it. I
truly miss it still.
As I do research on our latest trip, I begin making
piles. I found soft squishy, 3oz bottles
that will do well for shampoo. G bought
one, and you can smell the perfume through the plastic. I have a paper food tracker from WW, and I
found a source for black large size tights.
No one but Macy’s has them. If
nothing else, we got a good walk on Oscar afternoon searching for these.
I should feel guilty.
I don’t. We stayed home last
night to watch the glitz and glam of the public Hollywood crowd. It was fun for a brief while. All those splendid dresses and acres of
penguins. I don’t like slapstick, so
Ellen didn’t wear at all well on me. The
Great Geezer had the head nods. And, of
course, I cheered for all the ones who lost.
I’m sorry about that.
Bobbie announced she was heading to Paris. She’ll be back the day we leave. We will meet at the Long Beach art museum April
17th for lunch. Sometimes
friendships are like that.
Time to make up menu’s and go grocery shopping. Baked potato with salad, dinner out, baked squash with roasted veggies, dinner out, et al.....LOL
We would go out for a meal if we could get out. Hey, where is the Long Beach art museum? All the way up to Long Beach? I lone your train system.
ReplyDeleteI remember your little sports car - riding around OB in 1974. It was fun.
ReplyDeleteYes, but now I am 71 it might not be as much fun. LOL
ReplyDeleteWe may not to go racing around in a little sports car at our age but the memories are nice to have!
ReplyDeleteIt's so good to see you.
ReplyDeleteWe could go buy one of those, but then which one would get parked on the street?
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to hear how well the cruise ship dining and your new eating regimen coexist on your cruise. I would love to go on another cruise, but eating seems to be my favorite form of entertainment on a cruise.
ReplyDeleteI am ready to be inspired that I can be sodium and sugar compliant if we go. Have fun. Eat well!
I missed the Oscars. I do like to see a bit of glam occasionally but I'm with you on slapstick.
ReplyDeleteThe 1967 Datsun sports car you used to own must've meant a lot to you, Mage. I honestly wish they would bring back the vintage sports cars with cheaper costs of repair. They are so pleasing to the eyes, but hard to maintain. Anyway, what car are you driving now? Wouldn't it be nice if we can all indulge ourselves in vintage cars? Wishful thinking, though. Hahaha! Thanks for sharing!
