Not only because I’ve been harassed recently, nor just
because of the Washington baseball shooting, but also because of a book titled
“Democracy in Chains.” Because of these
things, I’m going to tone my Trump resistance down a bit.
Author Nancy MacLean writes that that…“Yes…there is a
right wing conspiracy” formed by the…”architect of today’s radical right,”
James Buchanan. She feels this has
created a hostile takeover of the American Government. I agree. I hope the horror of today’s
shooting by a liberal gunman stops us all in our tracks and leads us to rethink
our resistances.
Tone down doesn’t mean I am going to stop
commenting. Just far more sneakily.

- Himself: Very kindly started work at 0600 so he could take me in for removal of that cancerous spot on my neck. What a dear man. His CT scan showed no problems, and he is feeling mucho better. Knee is ok too.

DeleteThey cut and slice and remove and I often wonder if anything of us will be left to be recognizable. Hubby and I have not one, not two, but THREE big trips in the coming months and we have bought insurance on two of them Since his recent knee surgery and my "broken" toe we are being so careful. I do complain to those who focus in silliness and making fun of the President when I think it is cruel. I do think this man needs help...really.

Sure we can tone down, but does that mean we sit back and not voice our opposition? I still feel that so much of the terrible policies they are trying to put into place, or have already put into place must be protested. Still, it should be done respectively and non-violently, but I didn't think that needed to said. It wasn't the liberals or Democrats who were inciting and encouraging violence at the campaign rallies.

DeleteMostly, the situation is out of our hands. But as to being cruel about Trump? Why not. Why are we the ones who always have to make nice? Trump and his kind don't care whether we live or die.
