I was such a functional
human yesterday. Never before have I
attended so carefully to the things that needed to get done. Laundry, gym, more laundry, menu planning and
grocery shopping while doing more laundry.
That sort of thing.
I’ve been a totally unconscious
slob my whole life. Above that sort of
thing. LOL In the Army, I learned to fake it. Now at almost 75, I can get through these
domesticities with only groans and some degree of consciousness while blowing
my nose. Achoooooo!
Today’s domesticities include
making the bed. I like to see the
bedroom with a made bed. Dishes. Momentarily.
After all that, I want to make a quick photographic record of the house….an
inventory. In case there is a disaster,
insurance companies appreciate this sort of thing. I had a disaster once. I haven’t done an inventory here in a few
years, and it is time.
Then it is pin the gold
stuff to G’s Comic Con costume…and yes, our badges came yesterday. Maybe I will have time to go buy fabric for
my costume. Or maybe Thursday.
Such a neat kitchen. My looks like a tornado blew through today. Nap time is more important.
ReplyDeleteI ended up napping over my sewing. :)
ReplyDeleteWow. That is neater than mine looks after I clean it! Sewing. Long since lost the energy for that. I am proud of your skills. When did you learn to sew? When you were a girl?
ReplyDeleteMother tried to teach me as did a home ed class. Didn't stick. After the birth of my second child a neighbor took the time to teach me. I din't use a pattern much now but will for my costume.
DeleteYour kitchen is very much like mine in layout. Only mine is maybe not quite so neat.
ReplyDeleteMine is only neat for the picture. That's the only counter space, so you have to keep it empty for work space,.
DeleteMy mom taught me to always make my bed, and I do. Every day. I like the way it makes the room look, too.
ReplyDeleteYour kitchen looks a lot like mine, except mine is not clean. Always make my bed though :-)
ReplyDeletemany productives....
ReplyDeleteYou have a gorgeous kitchen! I should take photos of the stuff in our house too. I did that when we lived in Illinois, but not here in Hawaii. Thank you for the reminder.
