We are busily planning a
trip up the coast. I want to see my old
friend Dixie while she still remembers me.
We will do it next month sometime when the horrors of the fires have
lessened…the smoke diminished. See
daughter and granddaughter Sahara too.
Yes.
We both love train travel…all
but climbing into that upper bunk. Some
of the views from the train’s wide windows will stick with me forever. Once, long ago, I took some good shots of the
dunes at Vandenburg Air Force base.
Unable to find them, I‘ve tried for years to duplicate those images only
to end up with blurs. Perhaps this trip
I will be in better focus.
……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….
- Himself: Really enjoying the trip planning.
- Herself: Gathering together train pictures…just for the fun of it. Still struggling with my back.
- Poolie: Much perkier…even sitting on the edge of her new hospital bed.
- Reading: Back to the rather endless bio of QEII.
- Gratitude’s: For the watery sunshine.
Sounds like fun, Mage!
ReplyDeleteDo you get motion sickness on trains?
ReplyDeleteNeither of us do, and George gets motion sickness easily.
DeleteThe blur has a certain artistic flair.
ReplyDeleteBut the far vistas are in focus. LOL And I like the colors.
DeleteEnvy your trip. I've always wanted to sleep on a train. Maybe someday.
ReplyDeleteThat's my idea of a perfect trip, one by train. Have a great time. Hope the smoke relents soon. I have planned a scenic trip on the Eagle Cap Train in Elgin, NE Oregon in a week with two grand-kids. It's been heavily smoked so I'm not sure it will happen. But you never know.
ReplyDeleteHoping to get a couple of train trips in next year. Have a grand time... Hugs and love...
