I have made a decision to
resign from Open Diary. Why? The Diarymaster tells me that I was wrong…all
materials posted on OD are mine and mine alone.
That’s not how it read to many of us who post there. But I have found that life is simpler without
OD and Wordpress…that last is another OD replacement.
In the past, every time OD
broke down, I would feel compelled to continue writing somewhere, anywhere. So I found Blogger. Others fled to Wordpress. I started a blog there too. This last time OD died most of my friends
moved to Prosebox. It offered a simple
format that went well with my blog format built on HTML. I could use it with only one change. I reduced things to Blogger and Prosebox.
One dear friend that I met
in writing class many years ago finally started a fresh blog in Wordpress. She doesn’t write every day, but usually what
she notes interests me. She quilts, she
and her Husband Robert love trains, and they volunteer. Today we got together for breakfast and talked
cars. Best of all, the four of us had a
grand visit all speaking the same language of friendship.

ReplyDeleteYes it was! We will have breakfast with you two as a parting gift at the end of each San Diego visit. I loved it...
DeleteWonderful that you found new soulmates. Those are rare!
ReplyDeleteYou've been around the blogs, so to speak.
ReplyDeleteI would hate to start with a new blog program but you make me believe it is possible.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't want to have to start over with a new blog program. I don't feel as though I know WordPress as well as I should by now, but it works.
