These gentlemen all received brown coats with the museum logo on them for
over 1000 hours of volunteering. That’s
a lot of time.
Some work in the Restoration Shop.
Other’s in the Library. Still
others, like George, work as docents on the floor during the shows. This year these hard working docents all received
these sturdy brown canvas coats.
The party was good. We all had fun
talking with friends and eating good Mexican foods. The cake was great. And the gift swap is always fun. This year the docents were interested in
stealing some wine but not hard stuff.
George got a bottle of Pinot Noir all dressed for the winter snow. No one wanted it, and he gave it away to the
volunteer who cleaned Grumpy’s engine of 23 years of dirt.
……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….
- Himself: Worked hard, took the presents downstairs, did PT, and lead a meeting.
- Myself: Got all the presents wrapped. Puttered and went to his meeting.
- Reading: Jacqueline Kennedy[s book on the White House. We are going to the big book sale today, and I will pick up something light.
- Gratitude’s: To have all that décor done. Whew…now I know why I like taking cruises over the holiday.
It's a good season for such acknowledgements. Congratulations to all.
ReplyDeleteI cannot wrap my lips around Pinot Noir. Figuratively, at any rate. I cannot recall any literal trouble.
