· Saturday’s moment of joy was when we took 24 year old
Grumpy in to the shop, and he passed his smog.
He’s so old we have to have him smogged every year, and we agonize over
it. Yes, new tags too. Yes, he did fail
one year. That was when we learned to
put injector cleaner through before the test.
· Top photo:
Caught the 15 year old and a member of the court waiting for the
photographer to finish something else.
Quinceanera’s are to celebrate a 15th birthday. Dresses, (Click to see a few: https://www.tbdress.com/Cheap-Quinceanera-Dresses-4374/">HERE. suits, Mass at the church, pictures at the
park, dinner and dancing somewhere.
Quinceanera’s cost from 5 grand to 20 grand.
· Friday was that stress test I wrote about so
enthusiastically. I came home and
slept. Saturday I slept. Sunday I took only one nap. Sunday night, I slept all night.
· For those who are interested in the weather. It was only in the 70’s here at the beach
yesterday. We had breakfast with Pam,
Poolie’s friend, inland yesterday and caught up with all the news and gossip in
the near 90’s heat. She’s looking very
tired.
· I love such normal days as these.
So much money spent for a celebration. It would be better to put it toward an education, but that is my practical nature.
ReplyDeleteI so agree, but it is still important to the Mexican community here.
DeleteGlad your health tasks are narrowing and that you are getting sleep. Send some my way. Insomnia the last two nights!
ReplyDeleteThat's my usual. All that sleep last night was a gift from the gods.
DeleteGood to get some sleep. i hope you keep feeling better. I agree with Tabor about the expense of Quinceaneras. Also the cost of flashy weddings too, why not a down payment on a house?
ReplyDeleteYou got it.
DeleteNormal can be comforting!
ReplyDeleteAnd comfortime caan be a good thing.
DeleteGorgeous dress--a coming of age, as it were. I've been very tired lately. I don't know whether to blame the heat, stress or just good old Fibromyalgia. Whatever the cause, I nod off at the drop of a hat. I'm ready for Fall weather, for sure.
ReplyDeleteI would blame stress. Do you have AC in that lovely home of yours? It is hot out there, and hot means tired.
DeleteYou and Grumpy both are coming along well!
ReplyDeleteI will tell Grumpy.
DeleteThat's it! We will get you some injector cleaner to get you running smooth again.
ReplyDeleteGeorge read my mind. I was thinking the same thing for all of us. I use Sea Foam for my car and mower. The name has a bit more appeal than gunk remover. Do you suppose?? Naw.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you are getting so much rest. The body must need it and it gives the mind a rest also.
That photo tells a story. Poor guy looks bored. It's the young girl's big moment. Gracious! It's like the cost of a wedding.
