RANDOM

Who is this old woman who looks back at me from the mirror?  I do wish I could discuss it all with Dixie, my best friend from High School, but she is dead, or Bobbie.  She is at the Venice Biennale.  Such a logical answer.  I know it’s the side effects of the medication.  Or perhaps one of the falls I took yesterday.  I took two falls yesterday.  Falls will do that to you.

I was rolling down a slightly angled street, hit the power cords for a giant air handling machine, and over I went….my machine and all.  Not at all slowly.  The second time, there was this same rush of men to pick me up, to dust me off, but the voices all seemed accusatory.

  1. No breaks? I am terrified of another fall.

  2. So sorry. There must be a way to correct this. Can you slow the speed so that you do not accidentally get into such a dangerous situation. Just remember, this too will pass.

  4. Sometimes I have to laugh at that strange old lady in my mirror, especially if she has a dose of bed hair.
Falling is really not fun and so sorry you had wing damage. That is what I usually hurt trying to break the fall. Some one needs to design senior air bags.

  6. I'm with George--"No more falling down on the job!" Seriously, though, falling is just not good. I'm grateful that you didn't break something! Is it your motorized scooter that's toppling you to the ground?? Just wondering...

  7. Oh no! I hope you're OK! Would it help to get a "machine" that is heavier at the base, that wouldn't tip so easily? Or was this just a fluke, do you think? Take care!

  9. New blog format. I solve that problem by avoiding mirrors but yeah, who is that old woman when I feel so young. And...No falling!!!

  10. Once more, I have to ask for cards for Mage. She's come down with pneumonia again. :/ e-mail me at tehachap@yahoo.com and I'll give you my address. I'll forward the cards on to Mage. Prayers, please, if nothing else. She can use all the good thoughts and prayers we can offer up for her.

  12. There must be something wrong with the mirrors these days, I have the same problem with mine. The woman looking back at me seems unfamiliar.
