UNITY

Doug Emhoff, U.S. Vice President-elect Kamala Harris, Jill Biden and President-elect Joe Biden wave as they arrive on the East Front of the U.S. Capitol for the inauguration Joe Raedle/Getty Images, ‘Eater’s Guide to Inauguration Day.’

The Washington Post gives us this quote, “We must end this uncivil war that pits red against blue, rural versus urban, conservative versus liberal,” Biden said. “We can do this if we open our souls instead of hardening our hearts, if we show a little tolerance and humility, and if we’re willing to stand in the other person’s shoes — as my mom would say, ‘Just for a moment, stand in their shoes.’”

This day gives me hope.

  1. Biden and Harris have a tall job but I believe they are capable. The right people at the right time. The world is a better place now with the idiot out of power.
