THE UNEXPECTED

There we were, sitting back in comfort, watching the news, dinner was done then the room slowly filled with a faint music.  I thought it was coming from George’s cell.  When we turned the TV sound off, the music remained.  Outside the big sliding glass doors on the lawn stood a whole Mariachi band.  A pretty good one too.  No one was home next door, but everyone else came out to enjoy the music.

  • Myself:  Mending pants.
  • Reading:  The first of the Du Pre volumes.  And the last.  I shall miss these characters a lot.
  • Watching:  Local stuff on KPBS.
  • Photo:  George recorded it while enjoying the impromptu party.
  • Gratitude’s:  Because I am here for the unexpected.
