She was a mentor, a friend and a dooer.
She volunteered out in the community, with special emphasis on Planned
Parenthood. She encouraged artists to do
their best and supported them on all
levels. She taught Montessori school
too. She cared. She loved us.
She sounds like the perfect friend. So glad she was in your life.
ReplyDeleteProbably my Dad influenced me the most. He taught me to do each job well enough that I could comfortably sign my name to it.
And did you take that wonderful picture of Joleen?
ReplyDeleteMy mother was my greatest influence.
Paul Hawkins took the picture.
DeleteWhat a wonderful woman!
ReplyDeleteBoth my mother and my wife are strong women. I have always listened to them.
ReplyDeleteWonderful to have a friend like yours. Both of my Grandmothers influenced me in very different but loving ways. And a first grade teacher, Mrs. Sherwood.
ReplyDeleteIt’s wonderful to have had such an amazing, giving, beautiful mentor in your life.
ReplyDeleteShe was a special person.
