December 2, 2021

We found the white slipcover for that chair in the very last place we looked. Of course. In the attic space above my closet, there it was. There is all the Christmas stuff too. So it’s going to be a red holiday here. I, of little energy, will pull it all together in time.

You are going to get tired of holiday pictures, but I’m going to do my best with all the stuff I’ve saved all these years. Some days I won’t have the energy to hang balls, and other days I’ll fill a lot of the tree in with color. It will be the wreath out today…all the other doors around us have theirs out awfully early. I’ll join them.

Maybe we will have a tree in the bedroom too.

  • Himself: Saw the primary PA about his elbow. Vastly better. Now he is out in space before getting the wreath down for me. Dinner.
  • Myself: Rode along, reading blogs, triage from the hospital about my eye surgery.
  • Reading: The last Harry Potter.
  • Watching: Ken Kramer’s San Diego.
  • Photo: My picture, and Laka made the wreath.
  • Gratitude’s: The day went so smoothly.

  1. We haven't done a red Christmas in years.

  2. You have much more Christmas spirit than is in our house, Mage.

    Good luck on Monday!

  3. Thank you for finding and visiting my blog. I have a sad post up today. I wanted to visit here for awhile now. I lived in Ocean Beach in 1972. I worked at UC San Diego, which was more or less brand new then. HR where I worked was in prefab, not a trailer exactly, but not far from it. I then moved to LA and worked at UCLA for the rest of my career life.

  4. I love the Christmas wreath and that door looks so nice. Have fun decorating your way.

  5. The wreath on your door looks fantastic and very pretty.

  6. What a pretty wreath. When I saw it, I pulled out mine and hung it on the door. It's not so elegant -- it's metallic, and from Walgreens -- but it's endured for five years, which is longer than some of the more expensive/fancy wreaths have made it. Some people apparently do their 'shopping' for decorations by snatching them from other peoples' front doors!

  7. Well, at least you're decorating. All I could manage is one strand of lights on a houseplant!

My O2 level measures at almost 91. That doesn’t make the visiting nurse at all happy. I think my ongoing slowness is due to the lack o...
