We came home through the green of trees. The wind shifted the branches to suit itself
and I was delighted. It’s a different
kind of coming home. All pressure is off. Occasionally I wondered if I made the right
choice. Occasionally this morning, I wondered
if I was in my right mind cutting off and backing away from all modern treatments.
Home is a good thing.

ReplyDeleteDid I miss something? Your decision to let things take their course? Sometimes modern treatments are worse than what's being treated and may not work anyway. If you feel relief then I think you made the right decision.

ReplyDeleteI concur with Dkzody... I've been giving this same situation some thought too. I probably should have the defibrillator installed, but 'do I really want to come back if I've already crossed over?' My first instinct is to say no. I've lived a very good life and am a firm believer that we shouldn't take God's decision away from Him. 'nuf said. Love you dearly and will miss you terribly when you do pass, but I'll see you on the other side eventually and we'll hook up again, and again, and again!
