IT'S A HOLIDAY

I don’t know about you, but I am inundated by appointment reminders from my doctors.  On line.  They jam up my inbox and give me pause about all the paperwork to be filled out.  I should be appreciative.  Instead I feel like an old lady who wants to be left alone.

I reply to them all as fast as I can so I can get on to playing online, showering, having lunch….you know, the good stuff.  No pool today as the air is black with smoke.  The sun was a screaming red, out of focus circle as it sank into the sea last night.  Frightening.  I remember fires scaring me like that in the 60’s.  California is burning to the ground.

“Your dreams will become a reality,” says my latest fortune cookie.  If you want me, you can find me playing with the new Photoshop.  Yes, I am having fun with it, and I am grateful they haven’t changed with program too much.

  • <A HREF=http://geeeee-zer.blogspot.com/>Himself:  Has no plans.  He told me so.
  • Myself:  Shower, lunch, then Photoshop before dinner.
  • Reading:  A Dick Francis I don’t remember, but I do remember the cover.
  • Photo:  Comic Con.  This one needs cropping.
  • Gratitude’s:  That we are retired.

  1. That's a great Comic Con photo. I hope the suspicious fellow in the brown bowler will remain.
I so, so agree with all the doctor stuff cluttering the inbox. But remember when the receptionist used to call and then we'd have to go find our calendars!

  2. I know, it is so annoying. Anyone who misses an appointment today with all the reminders and phone calls has no excuse.

  4. I do wish our doctors would flood the inbox more. Most of them don't seem to.

  6. My dentist does too much reminding. I hate all the messages and phone calls. Enough already.

  7. I just get a reminder from the doc by text the day before an appt. Wish you well. Doing nothing sounds good to me. I did nothing yesterday as the wind trying to destroy all of us in WA (and Oregon), fires and smoke. I don't have to tell you about that. Yesterday internet out, power off and on. Read until it got dark. Today I'm changing all the beds and enjoying a lovely, cool and sunny morning. No wind at all.

  8. i always get clues from your artistic eye on photos. I had to scroll back up to see about the cropping part and did not notice until you wrote that. So sorry about the fires. I have friends in Colorado going through much the same, just not as large! My birthtown is near a forest fire and the people there have been told to prepare for evacuation. I do not have many doctor's appointments but as we age I know I will have more and this business of computer paperwork and emails has me stressed. I have a nasal allergy thing (lingering forever) and cannot get into see the ENT specialist until 4 weeks have passed! I guess Covid takes priority (as it should) but I thought these guys were losing money because they could not see patients!

  9. I am postponing all my doctors and dental appointments until next years. Fingers crossed we don’t have an emergency. I sure hope the fires are not close to you.
