HOME AGAIN

You would think my much beloved kids could be tactful when requesting something.  No?

There they were, both together on one phone call looking wonderful.  What were they calling about?  Demanding not asking.  Insisting that I use a walker inside.  They don’t want to hear that I fall all the time, which I do.  I do keep canes in almost every room.

Now that they are in their 50’s, they suddenly seem to notice me as I wear out.  Perhaps it’s because I’ve been in the hospital.  Perhaps they thought that was because I fell.  Nope, I went up to have someone help find a solution for my open sores.  The kids didn’t want to hear that.

My kidney function was going down so the Urgent Care doc hospitalized me for three days.  I had George and a book with me.  The food wasn’t bad, but it was “Heart Healthy.”  George brought me home with my sores intact despite all their IV efforts.  We ate take-out rolled tacos, beans, and rice while watching the horrific news from Florida.

  2. So glad you are home and hope you heal soon. Also hope they can improve your kidney function. Do take care and perhaps the kids just worry about their Mom.

  4. my last visit to the electrophysiologist the nurse asked me if I had fallen. nope. though I had skidded on wet slick pavement (no traction on my shoes) and went down on my hands and knees and stood right back up but I don't consider that a fall.

kids get bossy. back when the pandemic first got serious in March 2019 my daughter called...no more yoga class she told me. I went anyway but Abby did suspend classes for awhile.

  5. Yeah, I get the "Shouldn't you..." comments from our kids too. Always said from love in their hearts, I know they mean well, but I'm still in control of my own life! Sending you an e-mail... huggers, T
